Sour Cream and Crispy Onion Burgers

Prep: 10 minutes    Grill: 15 minutes
Ingredients

2 pounds of ground beef (makes 8 burgers)
1 packet of onion soup mix
1 cup of sour cream
½ cup of dried bread crumbs
1/8 tsp. of pepper
8 sandwich/burger buns- I used onion flavored hamburger buns from target
Leaf lettuce
1 can French onion toppings- usually found on string bean casserole but they are a great topper to a burger!

The Process

1. Heat grill to medium temp.

2. In a large bowl mix ground beef, onion soup mix, sour cream, bread crumbs and pepper together.

3. Shape mixture into 8 patties, about ½ think

4. Place on the grill and cover. Grill for 10 to 15 minutes, turning the patties once, until patties are no longer pink in the center and juice is clear. Top with your favorite cheese if desired.

5. Place the onion patties on your choice of bread and serve with your favorite toppings. Sprinkle French onion rings on top of your onion patties; trust me the little extra crunch is so tasty!

6. Enjoy!
